I have a foreclosure, can I still buy a house?

Two years ago I had a foreclosure, my income has increased and the reason for the delinquency on my prior loan was due to complications in my pregancy that put me on disability for six months. We are living in a rental but the landlord was using our rent money to pay the mortgage on his personal home and now the hose we live in is foreclosing. There are many houses in our area selling for dirt cheap, I’m talking like k-5. Do I have a chance to buy another house?

If you buy a property in foreclosure and the owner files for bankruptcy but the bank sales. What happens next?

If you buy a property in foreclosure and the owner of the property filed for bankruptcy but the bank sold it. And then the bank tells the person who bought it from the bank that it being filed as emergency court hearing to put bankruptcy aside. The person who bought the property can ask for any damages from the bank? Since they should have known about the bankruptcy and not sold this property.

Should I use my student loan money on useless/fun stuff, or a buy a house out of foreclosure?

I have always used student loan $ to live on, drinking and traveling etc. This semester I’m taking out a hefty loan in hopes of getting a great deal on this foreclosure. I no longer want to pay rent when I could buy a house for 2 years worth of rent. I also have dogs that need a yard!

Should I go broke, buy the house/make the repairs and live off what my fiance and I make (like we are now)? Or spend the money on a much needed new car and a trip to Egypt?
I only have 10k of student debt as of now and I graduate in a year. This student loan will put me up a few 10s of thousands.

Help determining how much mortgage company paid to buy a loan in pre-foreclosure?

Question for your real estate investors out there. I am aware of a property that is in pre-foreclosure. I happen to know that the mortgage on this property has been sold a number of times (I realize that this is very common in the mortgage industry). However, the company that holds the loan now is one of those last stop mortgage companies. They buy mortgages that other companies have written off as bad debt. Is there a way to find out how much this company paid when they bought the loan in question?
